First time homebuyers are perplexed and frustrated; lenders face mounting barriers trying to qualify borrowers while remaining profitable; home builders are trying to navigate building and selling homes in a high-interest rate, high-cost environment. Kirk Willison, Senior VP Global Public Affairs;
ARCH Mortgage Insurance
Kirk Willison is Senior Vice President for Global Public Affairs for Arch Mortgage Insurance Company. He is based in Washington and is responsible for the company’s outreach to Congress, federal regulators, Government Sponsored Enterprises, and industry trade groups. His responsibilities also extend to advocating for Arch’s interests in Europe and Australia. He is a frequent speaker before industry groups here in the U.S. and internationally. He hosts the Arch Mortgage Insurance PolicyCast podcast where he interviews guests about housing policy and writes Arch MI’s Capital Commentary newsletter.
He joined Arch MI in 2020. He has extensive experience in the mortgage industry, previously serving in senior public affairs capacities at Altisource Portfolio Solutions, Ginnie Mae, Freddie Mac and Countrywide Home Loans.
Kirk holds a graduate degree in public policy from George Washington University in Washington, DC and a bachelor's degree in economics from UCLA.
